Immunisation protects your child from serious illnesses, some of which can be life threatening. In addition to the immunisations offered to all children under the National Immunisation Program, additional immunisations are recommended for children who are considered at a higher risk of getting certain diseases and having health problems.

The following practitioners at CPMG are experts in paediatric immunisations:

Julian is an experienced paediatrician who currently holds appointments as a general paediatrician in the department of General Medicine at the Royal Children’s Hospital and as a research fellow in the University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics.

His areas of interest include acute general paediatrics, learning and behavioural disorders and lymphoedema.

Julian also has experience in international child health, working as a WHO consultant in the People’s Republic of China and the Solomon Islands.

Shidan is a general paediatrician with a consultant appointment at the Royal Children’s Hospital.

Teresa is an experienced general and developmental paediatrician who has worked at The Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne for over 25 years.

She has a longstanding commitment to community paediatrics with a particular interest in the diagnosis and management of developmental and behavioural problems as well as general health concerns.

She also has a particular interest in immunisation and travel medicine and has worked in this area for many years.
