Hand therapy

Unlike adults, a child’s hand will change in size, structure and skilful ability, depending upon development. Paediatric Hand Therapy focuses upon the assessment and management of the upper limb within the context of a child’s ongoing growth. Traumatic, congenital or acquired conditions are managed using strategies such as:

• Adaptive techniques to promote optimal independence
