Tashunka is a Paediatric Endocrinologist and General Paediatrician, who specialises in the care of children and adolescents with hormone-related diseases, such as thyroid dysfunction, adrenal, pituitary, growth, pubertal disorders, and bone health issues.
Teresa is an experienced general and developmental paediatrician who has worked at The Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne for over 25 years.
She has a longstanding commitment to community paediatrics with a particular interest in the diagnosis and management of developmental and behavioural problems as well as general health concerns.
She also has a particular interest in immunisation and travel medicine and has worked in this area for many years.
Theo is an experienced Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon with a subspecialty interest in paediatric ENT. He graduated from The University of Melbourne and then undertook post-graduate study in paediatric ENT. He worked at the Royal Children’s Hospital for 9 years as Head of Sinus Surgery and he currently has appointments at St Vincent’s Private Hospital (East Melbourne) and The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital. Due to his experience, Theo also provides surgical training to junior surgeons.
Prof. Andrew Kornberg is a paediatric neurologist with general neurology and neuromuscular experience. He completed Paediatric Neurology and Neuromuscular Fellowships in the United States working in St Louis, USA. He currently holds an appointment as Senior Neurologist at the Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH). He was the Director of Neurology for nearly 15 years, and stepped down from that position in 2015.
Mark is a senior clinician in the Department of Gastroenterology and Clinical Nutrition at Royal Children’s Hospital and a Clinical Professor at the University of Melbourne. He completed his undergraduate training at the University of Sydney and clinical and research training at the Sydney Children’s Hospital and Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary, Canada.
Sebastian is a paediatric general surgeon with a subspecialty interest in colorectal conditions affecting neonates and children. He completed his PhD at The Royal Children’s Hospital, with a research focus on the motility patterns of children affected by slow transit constipation. Following completion of his paediatric surgical training at The Royal Children’s Hospital, he underwent fellowship surgical training at the prestigious Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, Canada.
Professor Winita Hardikar is a Member in the General Division of the Order of Australia (AM) for her significant service to medicine, particularly to paediatric liver disease and transplantation.
Professor Winita Hardikar is the Director of the Gastroenterology and Clinical Nutrition Department Royal Children’s Hospital, and Head of the Liver and intestinal transplant program. She completed her medical training and a PHD at Melbourne University, and was a Fulbright scholar at Yale University.
Sue is a Consultant Clinical Geneticist who completed her training in Paediatrics and Clinical Genetics at the Royal Children’s Hospital and the Victorian Clinical Genetics Services (VCGS) in Melbourne, and the Oxford Clinical Genetics Service in the UK, also gaining experience at Great Ormond Street Hospital as a consultant. For more than a decade, Sue has co-led research into genomic testing for children with undiagnosed genetic conditions at the Royal Children’s Hospital, developing a rare disease research program, RDNow.
