Dr Gard is a Paediatrician and Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) who holds degrees as a Bachelor of Medical Science, Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Master of Public Health and Master of Clinical Education.
He is highly skilled in assessing and managing a range of childhood problems including developmental delay, behavioural problems, learning difficulties, sleep disorders, newborn and infant issues, allergies, eczema, asthma, continence and toileting problems. He also has subspecialty training in oncology and the treatment of blood diseases.
In addition to working at Children’s Private Medical Group, Dr Gard works at The Royal Children's Hospital creating guidelines on how to best treat paediatric conditions and as a doctor for the Clinical Haematology Department.
He is passionate about educating and empowering families. At the University of Melbourne he creates education resources for children and their families to use at home.
Dr Gard has a strong interest in international medicine and enjoys using technology to help young people improve their health.
