Jacky is a paediatric endocrinologist who undertook specialist training at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. She has broad expertise in the care of endocrine disorders in children. These include those of diabetes, growth, puberty or body hair, thyroid, vitamin D and bones, obesity, pituitary and adrenal glands, and the ovaries or testicles - including disorders of sex development, Turner and Klinefelter syndromes, congenital adrenal hyperplasia and gender dysphoria.
Jacky has authored a large number of medical and scientific journal articles, as well as treatment guidelines for a range of endocrine conditions. She is recognised as a leading expert in disorders of sex development and gender dysphoria, and has been invited to speak at national and international medical conferences on these topics, and she is a university lecturer in paediatrics. She is presently completing PhD research in paediatric endocrinology, and has received awards from the University of Melbourne, the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, the Australasian Paediatric Endocrine Group, the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the National Health and Medical Research Council of Australia.
