Dr Nigel Crawford


Nigel is a general paediatrician with a special interest in immunisation and travel medicine. He currently has appointments as a general paediatrician and medical head of Immunisation Services in the department of General Medicine at the Royal Children’s Hospital. He is also the deputy director of SAEFVIC (an immunisation research and vaccine safety group) based at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute.

Nigel runs an Immunisation/Travel Medicine clinic focussing on patients and families with immunisation queries and providing specialist vaccine and travel medicine advice.

Nigel is also active in clinical immunisation research through the Melbourne Children's campus comprising RCH, MCRI and The University of Melbourne, Department of Paediatrics.

His research interests include optimising immunisation in children and vaccine safety, and is a recognised national expert in these areas.
